POST 2 FAVORITE PASSAGE

"Then he remembered that this wasn't Route One anymore, that they had drifted sidewards or maybe even backward, and he had a dreamy, floating sensation."

This sentence is on the first page of the book i have to admit that when i first saw it, it didn't mean anything. As i read the book i realize what it meant and i have to say that without reading the book you will not understand what she means by that sentence.

AMERICAN AUTHOR PROPOSAL

Anne Tyler
I have to admit that before that class that we were assigned to search for an American author I had no idea who Anne Tyler was. Gina suggested her; I did a little research and my presentation on her. At first, I was not a whole lot interested in her she seemed rather boring but once, I started reading Breathing Lessons the book is quite interesting. I have most of the books that I am planning on reading, Morgan’s Passing, The Amateur Marriage, Breathing Lessons. I consider Anne Tyler an American author and I do not think there could be an argument on that. An American author is someone who has written many novels and has been nominated for a prize and won at least once. Anne Tyler won the Pulitzer Prize, has written more than eighteen novels. I am not that familiar with Anne Tyler’s novels but from what I have read I believe that I can write a ten-page paper. I believe I am lucky that she has written so many novels because I have more topics to choose from. A ten-page paper is long but I believe that if I do what I did while I was reading Songs of Solomon is keeping a thesis log and I am convinced that that would help a lot. I have some books in mind such as finishing
• Breathing Lessons
• Saint Maybe
• Back when we were grown ups
